 Measure the space available. Always allow a minimum of 25mm free space to the sides and rear of the cabinet. This allows for a free circulation of air around the cabinet and helps prevent overheating.
 Check the dimensions for the refrigerator that will best fit. Remember it is always best to have the largest capacity refrigerator possible.

 Generally speaking a 140 litre capacity is sufficient for the majority of surgeries however for larger surgeries we recommend a 250 or 277 litre capacity. The smaller capacities (below 140 litre) should only be used as backup storage during peak vaccine usage or for smaller satellite surgeries.

Heavy duty models have increased capacity compressors and extra insulation for faster temperature recovery. They are particularly suited for surgeries and other establishments that have a higher throughput of vaccines and other medications.
